Our story
From movement
to meaning.
TALOS was founded in 2022 in Munich with a clear mission: to make satellite-based IoT technology accessible, scalable, and ready for real-world use. Building on the scientific foundation of the ICARUS initiative of the Max Planck Society, the founders combined years of experience in RF engineering, satellite communication, and business development to create a new kind of data infrastructure company.
What began as a vision to miniaturize and simplify wildlife tracking has evolved into a platform for global movement intelligence. We integrate ultra-light tags, a dedicated satellite constellations, and data delivery into one seamless system – bringing movement data from the field directly into the hands of those who depend on foresight.
Rooted in science and driven by purpose, we bridge research and industry to turn nature’s signals into actionable intelligence.
